Year of the Rabbit

What will 2023 bring? Relaxation? Renewal? Social reconnection? Good luck? It’s going to be the year of the rabbit in the Chinese zodiac. Nobody can tell the future (as far as I know). But I’m liking the sound of a bit of a “rest and recover” year, not quite as aggressive as this past “tiger” year.

Hares bound from right to left (as Asian books are read), leaping into this big silvery lunar new year! This is “Moon Rabbit Run” - a 48” by 12” acrylic painting - come see it at Lan Su Chinese Garden in downtown Portland! The Year of the Rabbit show runs January 19th - February 21st.

Village Gallery of Arts

A big THANK YOU to everyone who went to the Village Gallery of Arts in December and bought my art and cards. You know what? VGA has a new art display …every month! Therefore there will be some new things from me at VGA from January through the first week of February: cards, prints, and original art. If you’re in town, stop in!
*If you follow me on Facebook, you'll see me post some photos when I’m in the gallery.

At VGA: A cedar stump that captured my imagination with an almost spiritual presence, even in decay. “Decaying” — watercolor and gouache, waxed and mounted to a 12 x 16 inch birch board.

Last but not least: Need a special valentine? Tell someone you love them with “Love Tweets” - available in the card racks at VGA.
