Downtown & West of Weird

First off, a heartfelt thanks to RACC, the Regional Arts and Culture Council, for purchasing “Beautiful World” for the City of Portland’s public art collection. When a permanent location is selected, I let you all know where you can see it in its new home! I love the idea that this art now belongs to everyone.

As a side note, when I went to the Portland building to deliver the art, I noticed….downtown Portland is lovely. Don’t believe the news.

Beaverton: parks, shops, food trucks, and definitely “West of Weird”! If you’re in downtown Beaverton you can visit 3 of my watercolors in person at Beaverton City Hall. They will be on display until May 12 in conjunction with Village Gallery of Arts 60th anniversary show. Yes, they are for sale, and proceeds will benefit local art programs. To inquire about purchasing artworks, contact Sharon Dunham at dunhamsw@frontier.com.

Also in Beaverton, Village Gallery of Arts’ March main gallery show includes two of my artworks: Decomposing and Crawling 3. This little shop is pretty much the best kept secret West of Weird, tucked away in Cedar Mill. Come visit!

That’s where you can see Leah Jay originals in the world! Next up…something ✨magic, sparkly, and new…✨
