Is there anywhere better than the forest?

there may well be, I can see

in warmed air, reclining, lit by soft screens.

I am no less real here than you are there,

and no more so. But in this church

beneath the branches, this place we share

closer to root and unbounded sky

this is what being on holy ground means.
